APRR inaugurates new carpooling park near Dijon to strengthen the development of sustainable mobility

Guillaume HÉRENT, CEO APRR-AREA and François REBSAMEN, President of Dijon métropole, Minister of Regional Planning and Decentralization, in the presence of Guillaume RUET, mayor of Chevigny-Saint-Sauveur, inaugurated the Chevigny-Saint-Sauveur carpooling parking on Friday, April 11, 2025.

Located on the A39 near the A31-A39 junction in the Côte-d'Or region, this new carpooling area has 41 parking spaces, including 1 space reserved for people with reduced mobility, and is equipped with bicycle racks and a passenger shelter. Based on a survey of motorists using the nearby roads, this carpooling parking required a total investment of 280,000 euros (excluding VAT), 234,000 euros of which were provided by APRR as part of its Mobility 2023 Investment Plan contracted with the French government, and 46,000 euros by Dijon Métropole.

Eiffage's motorway concessions, which include APRR, are continuing their commitment to decarbonising roads by developing a network of new carpooling parks on their networks. There are now 78 sites, with nearly 6,000 parking spaces available at motorway entrances. "At APRR-AREA", said Guillaume Hérent, Managing Director of the two motorway companies, "we are committed to supporting the transition to more frugal and sustainable modes of transport. By co-financing these carpooling areas, we are supporting local authorities in the development of multimodal hubs and helping to create a virtuous ecosystem in which everyone has the freedom to organise their mobility according to their needs and uses, choosing the most appropriate mode of transport to reach their final destination."
