Eiffage Civil Engineering has refurbished the bridge of Vielle-Aure in the Hautes-Pyrénées.

For nine months, our Eiffage Génie Civil teams renovated and reinforced this structure, under the supervision of the Architectes des Bâtiments de France (French Heritage Building Architects), while preserving its 19th-century masonry.

The immediate proximity to the Neste d'Aure river required particular attention from our teams; specific protection measures were implemented to limit the impact of cofferdams on aquatic environments.

To secure the structure during the works, a 15-meter-long and 6-meter-high metal arch support, weighing 16 tons, was installed by launching it under the structure.

We thank the Département des Hautes-Pyrénées and GETEC Sud-Ouest for their trust!

Thanks also to Acchini for carrying out the earthworks and utility works!

Congratulations to our teams for this expertly executed rehabilitation!

Restoring a listed structure while minimizing environmental impact makes all the difference!
