In Niort, Eiffage Construction teams have just completed the installation of the timber-framed façades—manufactured by Savare—for the extension of MACIF’s historic headquarters. This marks a key stage in the overall 11,200 m² rehabilitation and extension project, which is driven by strong environmental ambitions.

Under a blue sky, the installation of the timber façades was completed on the site of the MACIF historic headquarters’ renovation. This highly symbolic step reflects the progress of a project that combines technical expertise, environmental ambition, and the transmission of know-how.

Located in Niort, the project includes the full renovation of the MACIF historic headquarters known as “Le Château” (4,600 m²) and the construction of a 6,600 m² extension over three floors.

For this project, the teams opted for off-site production of the façades. The modules were prefabricated locally by Savare, a subsidiary of Eiffage Construction specializing in timber prefabrication, and directly integrated the joinery and white zinc cladding. The installation, carried out in-house by specially trained teams, was completed in record time: just five weeks!

The project also embraces a bold environmental approach, aiming for BREEAM Very Good certification. It incorporates low-carbon concrete, bio-based insulation (wood fiber), and favors reuse for parts of the restrooms, tiled flooring, suspended ceilings, lighting fixtures, and raised floors in the renovated building. A fine example of circular economy.

Delivery is scheduled for February 2026.

Congratulations to all the teams involved for achieving this major milestone on such a tight schedule!
