Eiffage Énergie Systèmes installs 38 charge points for Leroy Merlin customers in Nice, for Driveco

Service provider Driveco specializes in the design, operation and supervision of Electric Vehicle Charging Facilities (EVCF). The company managed the installation of charging stations for Leroy Merlin in the car park of the DIY chain's larger shop in Nice. One of Eiffage Energie Systèmes’ branches, associated with Axe IRVE and located just three minutes from the shop, completed the project in record time..

Having already carried out electrical work in the multi-storey car park of Leroy Merlin’s store in Nice (06) - completely refurbished in 2024 after 22 months of work - our EVCF experts were on hand for an additional order, placed by Driveco, the subcontractor chosen by Leroy Merlin to supervise the installation and marketing of 38 charge points.

These charging stations, each delivering 22 kW of power, are available on a chargeable basis to the general public. They are double high-performance charging points, enabling the brand's customers to recharge their electric vehicle's battery while shopping. Charging time varies according to battery capacity and charge rate.

"In the space of a month and a half, we had to create part of the routing and lay the power cables from a new EVCF switchboard reserved for high-voltage distribution to the 38 charge points. At the same time, we modified the existing main LV board in order to supply this new panel, and installed and connected the 19 double charge points on spaces located close to the store entrance", explained Business Manager Jérôme Giuliano.

This huge car park is very popular with the public, and our specialists had to carry out some of the work at night or by temporarily closing a group of spaces, in order to meet the commissioning deadlines. The project was launched on 1st June 2024, and was handed over in mid-July.
