Ævia has jacked down the Sylvain Dupuis Bridge on the Brussels Ring Road.

After several months of preparation, Ævia’s teams successfully carried out the jacking down of the Sylvain Dupuis Bridge on the Brussels Ring Road on behalf of Bruxelles Mobilité - Brussel Mobiliteit.

  • The operation was carried out using a Computer-Assisted Lifting (CAL) system, allowing precise control of the pressure and movement of 40 hydraulic jacks with capacities ranging from 45 to 250 tonnes.
  • The jacking was performed at a height of 1.5 metres on specially dimensioned temporary supports.
  • The bridge bearings were then replaced, followed by the jacking down phase.

A complex lifting operation successfully completed in partnership with INCYE Etaiements, Butonnages et Etançonnements.
