The Complex Projects Division, acting on behalf of Eiffage Énergie Systèmes EIG, is in charge of high and low voltage power installation at La Courneuve - Six Routes railway station. Our Branch employees are also providing heating, ventilation, air-conditioning and smoke extraction (HVAC), plumbing and the Building Management System (BMS).
"The scope of our work ranges from fitting the lighting fixtures in the vault and throughout the station to installing the various kinds of air-conditioning equipment and smoke extraction fans. We are also responsible for station security, video surveillance, access control on certain doors and fire detection equipment throughout the structure", explained the EIG project manager Yoann Buisson.
Eiffage Construction teams have built a 70,000-brick vault and a self-supporting wall with a further 55,000 bricks, as a reminder of La Courneuve's industrial and working-class past. The lighting system, custom-designed by our experts, was approved by Eiffage's scientific committee in March 2023. It comprises 423 luminous bricks, integrated here and there to give a “natural light” effect in the vault, and over forty additional light boxes to illuminate the self-supporting wall. In the middle of the vault, a huge, glazed oculus also allows light to filter through the entire station.
On this large-scale project, the project manager liaises with the various interfaces in charge of additional work packages. "The La Courneuve - Six Routes station contract also involves building five ancillary structures of 500 m2 each (spaced 800 m apart) to enable maintenance and the evacuation of passengers or staff in the event of an incident in the tunnels. For each of these ancillary structures, we are in charge of the technical work packages, including electrical installation right down to the cable pulling, downstream of the LV master distribution boards. The HV and LV parts of these worksites are managed by the Aline Consortium, headed by Eiffage", continued Yoann Buisson.
