Following the trackbed cleaning project on the Northern European high-speed line, our teams are hard at work to achieve a second ambitious goal: restoring the tracks to 160 km/h, compared to the usual 120 km/h, we'll tell you about it.
Since mid-February, our teams have been mobilized for a preparatory phase: assembling track switches, conducting topographic surveys, forming work trains, etc.
Now it's time for the main works, which are taking place over 6 consecutive blitz operations during public holidays and various long weekends. During each operation, we replaced track switches up to 220m long, equivalent to 2 football fields.
We are now capable of meeting the quality requirements of the V160 protocol, safely and consistently.
More than just a project, it's a true model of industrial synergy between the teams at SNCF Réseau, Captrain and our own, which helps to preserve the transport services offered by our client SNCF Réseau.
Innovating to improve technical performance makes all the difference.
