Four days were required to position the steel deck of the Small Dean viaduct over the A413—a highly frequented route—and the railway line connecting London’s Marylebone district to the town of Aylesbury.
The 350-meter-long, 4,500-ton deck was moved using Teflon pads, a 20-ton winch, and a 450-ton cable jack.
This key milestone in the project is the result of meticulous and rigorous preparation, carried out with determination by Eiffage Métal’s specialized teams.
For David Feghali, Project Director, “The innovative solutions and technical challenges successfully met during this operation reinforce Eiffage Métal’s position as a key player in complex projects.”
Congratulations to the teams for achieving this important milestone!
