Inauguration of the Renovated Family Pension of La Clède by Eiffage Construction in Partnership with the Foundation for Housing for the Underprivileged

On March 14, the Family Pension of La Clède, located at 33 avenue Salvador Allende in St Martin de Valgalgues (30), was inaugurated in the presence of the Mayor of the town and the Deputy Mayor for Social Affairs, representatives of the Foundation for Housing for the Underprivileged, the La Clède association, and the residents of the family pension. These renovation and expansion works, carried out by Eiffage Construction teams, are part of the ongoing sponsorship with the Foundation.

For 20 years, Eiffage Construction has supported the Foundation through financial sponsorship and then skills-based sponsorship, participating each year in the renovation and/or extension of solidarity shops and family pensions.

The former are spaces dedicated to the daytime reception of homeless individuals, allowing them to access services such as showers, a place to rest, administrative support, or a secure locker for their belongings.

The latter are collective housing units grouped around a large communal living area, managed by a hostess who acts as the true heart of the home. These pensions are designed for people in difficulty, offering them a warm and welcoming environment to rebuild their lives.

In St Martin de Valgalgues, the communal living area of the family pension managed by the La Clède association was renovated by the residents and expanded with a veranda and a wooden terrace built by Eiffage Construction teams. This new development allows the 16 residents and the hostess to enjoy a larger and more welcoming shared living space.

Among other Eiffage Construction projects on daytime reception centers in recent years, notable examples include those in Valenciennes, Mantes-la-Ville, Perpignan, Laval, Beauvais, Gagny, and Reims.

In Cavaillon, another rehabilitation project is underway. The restructuring work of the Maison Commune, in partnership with the Association Le Village, began in November 2024. This renovation will create a new daytime reception center.

Through this sponsorship, Eiffage Construction is committed to contributing to the creation of living spaces for homeless individuals and fighting against social precarity.

A big congratulations to our teams for their involvement in these solidarity-driven renovation projects!
