An event panel created for the 20th anniversary of the Millau Viaduct

To mark its 20th anniversary, the Millau Viaduct is putting on a colourful display on the A75 motorway! Renowned illustrator Fred Van Deelen has opted for a deliberately pop-art visual. The result is a highly visible tribute to the giant of Millau.

For the past few days, travellers on the A75 motorway have been able to admire two ‘special anniversary’ panels illustrated by Dutch artist Fred Van Deelen, who has been working on the renovation of the famous ‘brown panels’ on the APRR and AREA motorways for the past ten years.

Benoît de Ruffray, Chairman and CEO of Eiffage, officially unveiled them on Friday 6 September, before taking part in the programme broadcast live by Autoroute INFO radio (107.7 FM), which can be found at this link

20 m² for 20 days of festivities

These two temporary billboards have been created using the same design codes as the ‘brown billboards’, with the same format (6.60 m high by 3 m wide, i.e. 20 m²).

Set up on either side of the Viaduct, they will remain in place for the 20 days of the festivities.

This highly graphic visual will also be used on printed materials and in an enhanced digital version.
