Clemessy helps build a regenerative ingredients plant for Intact in Baule (45)

Intact has entrusted Clemessy with the Electrical, IT and Automation (EIA) work package for its production facility, as well as the construction of process skids, as part of the creation of its industrial site on a 10-hectare plot of undeveloped land at Baule in the Loiret department. The project was inspired by the Industry of the Future 4.0, low-carbon and biotech models and will be deployed by our experts, who aim to have the plant up and running within a year.

Clemessy's sales teams have been following this new BioTech industrial player since December 2022, with a keen interest in the industry. Thanks to an innovative, patented process, the company will be producing low-carbon ingredients from pulses. These groundbreaking ingredients, intended for the food, cosmetics and pharmaceutical sectors, offer major advances in terms of naturalness, biodiversity and sustainability.

“Our role on this project is to animate and implement the animation of the customer's processes as they were conceived, inspired by models linked to Industry of the Future 4.0. In other words, we have to instrument the industrial tool, so as to provide it with the expected sensitivity. Intact will be producing regenerative ingredients, while at the same time having a virtuous, decarbonized production process, so we'll program models that take this decarbonization into account, in terms of both mechanization and process industrialization”, explained Branch Manager Philippe Hubert.

For this and many other projects, Industry of the Future 4.0 means equipping industrial facilities with instruments and sensors (as close as possible to the process) which can be interacted with via algorithms, to ensure that the equipment is fully virtuous and able to react in the best possible way according to the criteria given to it.

“The industrialist controls his process, which we come to study and equip so that during commissioning and operation the processing elements are capable of managing industrial needs for decarbonation (in particular) as closely they can. As an example of a basic technique which is not confidential because it is commonly used, we design and deploy variable speed drives to reduce energy consumption when starting an electric motor. The tool's carbon footprint is therefore smaller, but the need for industrial production is met. Other, much more innovative subjects are being deployed but will not be mentioned as they are confidential,” he continued

Our teams have been committed to the Intact plant construction project since September 2024, and are currently carrying out the design phases. These will be followed by the manufacture of control enclosures and skids (until March 2025), with a view to on-site deployment and facility commissioning in the second half of 2025.
