Climate control system: a major project for Telehouse in Paris

THE PROJECT: we are renovating HVAC systems at the TH2 Paris Voltaire datacenter for Japanese datacenter hosting specialist Telehouse (Paris, London and Frankfurt, for Europe). This is Telehouse's second datacenter in Paris.

COMPANIES INVOLVED: this multi-trade project led to the creation of a temporary joint venture or GME (Groupement Momentané d'Entreprises) with EES - Clévia Ile-de-France in charge of air-conditioning, EES - Ile-de-France for electrical work, and Vinci subsidiary CBI for structural and finishing work.

TIMING: from April 2024 onwards.

WORKFORCE: between 30 and 50 people, depending on project progress.

A MAJOR CHALLENGE: carrying out complete renovation (including the air-conditioning system) of a site handling over 50% of France’s Internet traffic, and which will remain in operation throughout the works. In other words, “an almost surgical operation”, as Philippe Remia, Project Director for EES - Clévia Ile-de-France, points out with a smile.

AN EXTRAORDINARY PROJECT IN TWO RESPECTS: in terms of both the amount of sales it represents, and the size of the building itself: 12,000 m2 of floor space, right in the heart of Paris.
