The ACEL association in Trappes (Yvelines) provides support to vulnerable young people in designated priority neighbourhoods in the city. It provides outreach and leisure activities for younger children and educational support for 74 young people. An additional 30 young people also receive job-seeking support thanks to volunteer tutors and group workshops.
The association is expanding its educational support and access to employment coaching initiatives. With this in mind, it is investing in tablets and computers with the help of the Eiffage Foundation. In terms of improving access to employment, the equipment will be used to prepare CVs and cover letters, simulate and film job interviews, etc. In terms of educational support, the association is setting up an application that provides free learning tools and makes it easier to monitor young people’s progress.
The project is being supported by Edouard Ronin, programme manager at Eiffage Immobilier: he is helping to promote access to employment by providing individual tutoring and by introducing young people to the construction trades.
