Adapt-Equit is a social and therapeutic riding centre in Bailleul (Nord). It welcomes vulnerable people from very diverse backgrounds, helping to promoting social diversity. The association runs a day centre that supports 20 to 25 young offenders and children in care every year. 50% of these return to education or find an apprenticeship.
The association is planning to buy a van to transport two horses, with the support of the Eiffage Foundation. This will enable young people at the day centre to travel with the horses to outside events, but also provide “pony visiting" in prisons to help reintegrate young and adult offenders. The project is sponsored by Rémy Buret, works manager at Eiffage Route.
