This contract, representing a value of nearly €110 million, covers the design and build of the civil engineering works as well as the manufacturing, installation and commissioning of all hydromechanical, electromechanical and electrical equipment for this 44 MW plant.
The project includes the construction of a concrete rockfill dam, a spillway, a turbine plant, a discharge channel, the switchyard, the power line connecting the plant to the grid, temporary facilities and access roads. Eiffage Génie Civil and Eiffage Énergie Systèmes are to provide expert support. Work will start during the first quarter of 2019 and will last for three years.
This contract was awarded following an international request for proposals issued by Ivoire Hydro Energy in 2015, which was won by Eiffage in 2016.
Following on from the Félix Houphouët-Boigny bridge renovation project, for which work is currently in progress, the Singrobo-Ahouaty hydropower plant will be another major infrastructure built by Eiffage in Côte d’Ivoire.
