They are scheduled over 32 months, and should be completed by July 2020. They involve the upgrading of the large and small station concourses covering 15,000 m² in all, and include renovation work on the historic steel frame and glass and zinc roof, built in 1869 and measuring 280 m by 53 m.
Eiffage Metal's package includes removal of asbestos-containing glazing panels, lead removal, painting and reinforcement of the steel structures, refurbishment or the glazing and zinc roof.
